Welcome to the August 2024 Newsletter

Kia ora,

Greetings from Lifekidz.

Today is cold and rainy,  and the Day Program team have made scones and soup for lunch and the After School little people. It’s that time of the year for inside pursuits, music, dancing, crafts and ball games in the gym.

Currently our playground is getting a makeover and where we once had awkward contours, mounds and potholes we now have a level area and new grass already sown. It is going to make the world of difference to those whose stability is challenged including our wheely kids.

The holidays were a hit as usual, and the weather was kind to us. The magician, the face painter and the drumming workshop were so much fun. But our community award goes to policeman Ian from the Howick police station who had kids wearing his hat sitting in the police car and turning on the siren. Wow it was community work at its best everyone wanted a photo with him.

It’s time to extend an invite to our AGM to be held here at Lifekidz at 6pm on the 12 Aug 2024. We would love to meet you, answer your questions and tell you more about our community programs.

My door is always open, and I welcome new faces so please come and have a look around.
